Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today announced her endorsement of Derrylyn Gorski, current Democratic First Selectman, who is running for re-election for First Selectman for the Town of Bethany.
“I am proud to endorse Derry Gorski for re-election as Bethany’s First Selectman. I first met Derry 20 years ago when she was the Advocacy Director for the American Heart Association. Derry is a dedicated and passionate public servant, and my respect and admiration for her grows with each passing year. She has been a strong advocate for the residents of Bethany, particularly for working families, seniors and veterans.
Derry serves the town of Bethany with both sound judgment and a sense of justice. Furthermore, her work is highly respected by her colleagues around the State. Derry is serving her third term as Chair of CMED representing Bethany’s interests in public safety response and before that, was elected Chair of the Council of Governments.
Derry is an effective advocate for Bethany and she is the right person to lead this community. She has my full support as she continues to move Bethany forward. Join me in supporting Derry Gorski for First Selectman on May 6th.”
