Open Letter to Bethany Democrats

December, 2016

Dear Fellow Bethany Democrats:

The beauty of living in a small town is that your vote and participation really make a difference.

The members of Bethany’s Boards and Commissions are volunteers – your friends and neighbors who together decide how Bethany is run. Of course, you have the final say by participating in the Annual Town Meeting, Special Town Meetings and public hearings. Your attendance at these meetings gives voice to our Democratic principles of inclusion, opportunity and fairness and offers you a place to be an active participant in your town’s governance. Here is some important information and opportunities for you to participate:

Referendum – Tuesday, December 6, 2016

There will be two (2) separate ballots presented to each voter:

  1. Vote on the bonding initiative put forth by the Amity Regional Board of Education.
  2. Vote on the bonding initiative put forth to approve minor language changes to town ordinances.

Voting will take place in the Old Voting Room on the ground floor of Town Hall between the hours of 6AM to 8PM.

Looking for a few good men and women….

The Bethany Democratic Town Committee needs your ideas as well. It takes many individuals with diverse backgrounds and opinions to have a vibrant, successful Democratic Party.  Please consider running for elected office in the coming 2017 Campaign.  Call Fran Doba on 203-393-9522 for more information.
