While federal and state elections in Connecticut take place in November, Bethany is one of several Connecticut towns that holds its municipal elections in May.
VOTER REGISTRATION FOR THE 2017 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
Anyone wishing to register to vote in Bethany may do so until 8PM on Monday, April 24th 2017. If you miss that deadline, you may register to vote on Election Day which is Monday, May 1st 2017 at Town Hall between 6AM and 8PM but should plan to come in well before 8PM to ensure you have enough time to register and to vote.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS / SAME-DAY VOTING FOR THE 2017 MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS
Absentee Ballot applications may be completed in the Town Clerk’s Office Monday through Friday from 9am to 4:30pm and between 6:30pm-7:30pm on Monday evenings. Upon completing the ballot application, you will be handed a ballot to fill out.
If you can’t go into Town Hall during their hours of operation, you can print an Absentee Ballot application above and mail it to:

When the Town Clerk receives the application, she will log it in and mail out the ballot. The completed ballot must be returned through the mail by election day, MONDAY, MAY 1. You can hand carry the completed ballot in until Friday, April 28th. YOU CANNOT BRING AN ABSENTEE BALLOT INTO TOWN HALL ON MONDAY MAY 1.
